How to Print 2 or 4 Pages Per Sheet (Free N-up PDF)
Printing a 40-page document uses 40 sheets — or just 10, if you put 4 pages on every sheet. This layout trick is called “N-up” printing, and PdfWord's free N-up PDF tool does it in your browser: drop in any PDF, choose 2-up or 4-up, portrait or landscape, and download a compact new PDF ready to print.
Steps
- Open the N-up PDF tool — Go to the N-up PDF page and drop in your PDF.
- Choose your layout — 2-up (side by side) for documents, 4-up (2×2 grid) for slides and handouts.
- Pick orientation — Portrait or landscape sheet.
- Click “Create N-up PDF” and print — A 20-page document at 2-up prints on just 10 sheets.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the text still be readable?
At 2-up, yes for most documents. At 4-up text gets small — best for slides, not dense reports.
Does it work for any PDF?
Yes — any PDF, any page size. Pages are scaled to fit neatly on A4 sheets.
Is it really free?
Completely — no signup, no watermark, no limits.
